Acceptable Use Policy
1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all users of Streamown, including both Creators and Viewers. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this Policy. Violations may result in enforcement action as described in Section 7.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not broadcast, upload, or share content that:
- Sexual or 18+ content: explicit sexual acts, pornography, or sexually suggestive material involving minors.
- Violence and gore: graphic depictions of violence, real-life harm, animal cruelty, or gore.
- Illegal activities: content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities, including the sale or use of illegal substances.
- Gambling and casino streams: streams involving gambling or casino games for real money. This also covers in-game gambling mechanics whenever they are the focus of the broadcast, such as gacha pulls, loot box or case openings (for example CS:GO / CS2 case openings), wheel spins, and similar randomized-reward content. Streams primarily dedicated to these activities will not be accepted, regardless of whether the underlying currency is real money, in-game currency, or third-party tokens.
- Hate speech: slurs, derogatory language, or advocacy of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristics.
- Harassment and doxxing: targeted harassment, threats, intimidation, or sharing of private personal information without consent.
- Malware and hacking: distribution of malware, viruses, or instructions for hacking, exploiting, or gaining unauthorized access to systems.
- Unauthorized copyrighted content: broadcasting content you do not own or have rights to, including movies, TV shows, music, or other copyrighted material without authorization.
- Misleading or deceptive content: content designed to deceive, including impersonation of other users or entities, or misleading stream metadata.
3. Chat Conduct
All participants in Streamown chat are expected to conduct themselves respectfully. The following behaviors are prohibited in chat:
- Spamming or flooding the chat with repetitive messages.
- Harassment, bullying, or personal attacks against other users.
- Using slurs or hate speech.
- Sharing personal information of others without their consent (doxxing).
- Chat messages are rate-limited to prevent abuse.
- Evading chat bans by creating additional accounts or using other means to circumvent a ban.
4. Stream-Specific Rules
- Stream duration: the Free plan is limited to 12 hours of streaming per day. Paid plans have no daily stream duration limit.
- Viewer cap compliance: concurrent viewer limits are enforced per plan tier. You must not attempt to circumvent these limits through technical means.
- Stream key security: sharing your stream key with others is prohibited. You are responsible for all content broadcast using your stream key.
- Restreaming: restreaming content you do not have the rights to is prohibited. You must own or have a license for all content you broadcast.
5. Platform Abuse
The following activities constitute platform abuse and are prohibited:
- Using bots or automated tools to inflate viewer counts, followers, or engagement metrics.
- Payment fraud, including using stolen payment methods or attempting to circumvent billing.
- Scraping or automated data extraction from the Service without authorization.
- Exploiting bugs, vulnerabilities, or unintended behavior in the Service for personal gain or to harm others.
6. Reporting
If you encounter content or behavior that violates this Policy, you may report it through the following channels:
- In-stream report button: use the report button available on each stream to flag violations in real time.
- DMCA copyright claims: submit a takedown notice via the DMCA Notice page.
- General reports: submit a report for other violations via the Report Stream page.
7. Enforcement
Clq Inc enforces this Policy through a three-strike system:
- First violation: a written warning describing the violation and required corrective action.
- Second violation: a temporary account suspension, typically lasting 7 days.
- Third violation: permanent account ban.
Serious violations — including but not limited to content involving minors, illegal activity, or severe harassment — may result in immediate permanent ban without prior warning.
8. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may submit an appeal by contacting [email protected] within 14 days of the enforcement action. Appeals will be reviewed within 7 business days. You will be notified of the outcome via email.
9. Content Moderation
Clq Inc employs a combination of manual review and automated detection to enforce this Policy. Our moderation team reviews reported content and takes action as appropriate. For copyright-related matters, we follow the DMCA takedown process as described in our Terms of Service.
10. Changes to This Policy
Clq Inc may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes via email or a platform notification. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
